Mission and Values

The Association shall be a non-profit benevolent organisation dedicated to the promotion of a language (i.e. Bangla) and culture (i.e. Bengali) of a community with a Cultural and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) background through organising lectures, events, and programs. The specific objectives and purposes of the Association are presented below:

(a) Promoting a culturally diverse language (i.e. Bangla) by:

Teaching Bangla as a diverse language for Australia.
Developing a Curriculum and Education Material.
Teaching History of Languages to Strengthen Knowledge on Bangla Language which Would Encourage Students to Learn Multiple Languages.

(b) Promoting a linguistically diverse culture (i.e. Bengali culture) by:

Engaging a CALD community (i.e. Second Generation Bangla Speaking People) in Australia to their Forefathers’ Heritage.
Promoting and demonstrating Bengali culture through performing arts (e.g., music, dance, drama and physical theatre), visual arts (e.g. drawing and painting), writing, festivals, and community cultural development.
Teaching cultural commonalities and diversities to explore the Common Elements of Bengali Culture and Australian Culture.
